Overview
The Philippines will once again be the center of the international community as we stage the 10th International Aviation, Maritime & Defense (AMD 2008) Exhibition from 24 - 27 September 2008 , with a theme “ Technologies and Strategies for Enhanced Defense, Security and Safety.” Since 1989, this biennial event has earned a track record of continuously serving as a catalyst for successful trade negotiations and development of vital linkages between sellers and buyers in upgrading their aviation, maritime and defense capabilities.
AMD is the pioneering international trade show on air, land (road and rail) and sea technologies covering the commercial, industrial, leisure and defense sectors. AMD remains to be the only show of its kind in the Philippines.
AMD 2008 aims to:
- Provide a venue for joint venture, subcontracting opportunities and trade agreements in the manufacturing and supply of defense, safety and security-related products and services;
- Provide a forum for technological exchange that will further enhance the knowledge and skills of Filipinos that will bring into the consciousness of our lawmakers and leaders the industry’s potential for growth;
- Educate the public on the importance of a strong defense / security force and learn more of what the market has to offer.
